Clear guides for the local school journey.
Start with the route that applies to your child. Each guide is written to help you make the next decision with less confusion.
Expat parent guides
Getting your child into a Singapore local school explains the whole admission picture for foreign families: priority order, P1 registration and Phase 3, AEIS and S-AEIS, school types, fees, and what to prepare before any of it. It is the guide to read first if you do not yet know which route applies to your child.
The P1 Indication of Interest (IOI) form is a step-by-step walkthrough of the mandatory first step international families take before Phase 3: who can submit, which documents to prepare, what each part of the FormSG form asks for, and what happens between the May window and the October email.
Preparing your child for AEIS covers the Cambridge English (CEQ) requirement, the AEIS mathematics paper, and a practical 9-month preparation plan for families targeting Primary school entry, including how to use error logs and timed practice without burning your child out.
Every guide can be read in full on this site. If you prefer a formatted, printable copy, each guide is also available as a PDF from the MKB Academy shop, and the PDF links appear on each guide page.
Student resources
The older MKB student resources remain available without competing with the main parent journey. The Ultimate Sec 2 Revision Guide is an all-in-one package built strictly on the latest GCE O-Level Singapore Math syllabus trajectory, covering every question type you need to know to end Sec 2 strongly and build a solid foundation for Sec 3 and 4. The Ultimate O-Level Cheat Sheet is the exact cheat sheet Kavin used to score 2 points at O-Levels: every formula, definition, and concept, with no filler.
There is also The Dharma of Memory, five memory techniques drawn from monastic practice and explained through modern brain science, and the MKB Academy Public Access community for students who want to treat school like a game and compare strategies with peers.
How to use these resources
If your child is in K1 or K2 and you are weighing local versus international school, start with the local school guide. If your child is turning 6 and you plan to enter P1 as an international student, go straight to the IOI guide and note the May window. If your child is older and needs to sit AEIS or S-AEIS, start with the AEIS preparation guide and work backwards from the test date.
When something in a guide does not match what you are seeing on an official MOE page, trust the official page and tell me, because rules and dates change and the guides are checked and updated against the published MOE information. The FAQ page answers the shorter questions, and a free 20 to 30 minute call covers the ones that are specific to your child.
